Born on 10 May 1899 in British Guiana son of Neil Ross and Eugenie Bathe MacKinnon of British Guiana. Educated at the Royal Masonic School 1910-15.

Wartime Service

He was sent to Palestine as battalion signalling officer and was briefly A.D.C to Brigadier General Ward. He was killed in action while leading his men in an attack at Kesfa district, Palestine.
