Pre War

Born on 6 December 1893 at Eaton Bray, Dunstable, Bedfordshire son of the Rev. Edwin and Annie Hill Sutton later of Grundisburg Rectory, Woodbridge, Suffolk. Educated at Haileybury College 1907-11.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Whitehall, London formerly Private 1209 28th London Regiment and entered France on 6 Dec 1914. Obtained a commission as 2nd Lieutenant 3rd Royal Irish Fusiliers on 6 Jul 1917 and then re-enlisted as Private in the Irish Guards. Died of wounds received at Bourlon Wood.
