Born in 1884 in Hertford son of William and Rebecca Manser living in 12 Green Street in 1891, 1901.

He married Florence Hudson on 10 Oct 1903 in Little Amwell and they lived in 15 The Folly, Hertford and had four children. He was a carman in the gravel pit.

Wartime Service

Formerly 6044 in the Hertfordshire Regiment

Additional Information

Brother of Stoker Bertram Manser who was killed at sea on 10 Jun 1915 and of Lance Corporal Charles Manser (they had consecutive Service numbers) who was killed on 31 Jul 1917 and are also commemorated on these memorials.
