Born in 1898 in Ware, Hertfordshire son of John and Edith May and was living in 8 High Street, Ware in 1901. His father was a harness maker from Devon and his mother a milliner. They had moved to 81 High Oak Road, Ware by 1911.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Hertford and was killed in action near Ypres.
