Born on 7 Jul 1895 and baptised on 15 Aug 1895 in Amble, Northumberland son of John Herman and Blanche (Liddell) Merivale. Educated at Haileybury College 1909-13. He later lived at Middleton Hall, Middleton, Leeds.
Wartime Service
Entered France on 21 Apr 1915 and died of disease probably in hospital at Rouen.
