Born on 20 Sep 1879 and baptised on 17 Oct 1879 in Woolwich, Kent son of Col. Herbert Leonard Mitchell R.A. and Mary Arabella Susan Mitchell. Married Maud Elsie Galton on 2 Jul 1906 in Holy Trinity, Brompton, London.

Wartime Service

He was commissioned on 11 Feb 1899 2nd Lieutenant Oxford Light Infantry, promoted to Lieutenant on 1 Aug 1900 and Captain on 22 Jan 1906. He entered France prior to 1 Sep 1915. He died at Rowsley, 26 Kent Road, Southsea, Hampshire.
