Born on 19 Dec 1897 in Blackheath, London son of Charles Morgan (Comdr. R.N.) and of Kathleen Courtenay (Robinson) his wife of 6 Lansdowne Square, Hove, Brighton. Educated at Haileybury College 1911-14 and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. He was unmarried.

Wartime Service

Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant on 15 Jul 1914 and entered France as an observer for the Royal Flying Corps. He soon joined his battalion in the trenches and was killed in action by a shell while in charge of a machine-gun at Givenchy.
