Born on 8 Sep 1869 and baptised on 4 Nov 1869 in Futtehgurh, Bengal, India son of Maj. Gen. Robert Morris (Indian Army) and Sarah Ann Morris of Devonshire. Educated at the United Services College 1883-87. Commissioned to the Border Regiment in 1892, served in the South African War 1899-1902. Promoted Major 1912. Husband of Mabel Morris.

Wartime Service

Entered France on 10 Aug 1916. DSO in 1917, Commanded 16th Middlesex Regiment from 14 Aug 1917 and was killed in action two days later.

Additional Information

United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
