Cecil was born on 5 August 1880 in Toddington, Bedfordshire to Alfred Collins and Annie Muckleston.


In the 1901 census he was lodging in Donnington Hall, in Leicestershire and was working as a gamekeeper. On 2 April 1908 he married Laura Evelyn Hare in Chalfont St Giles Buckinghamshire. In the 1911 census they are shown as living at Chalfont Grove Cottage, Chalfont St Giles.


They had one daughter and their second daughter was registered in Royston in 1914. 

Wartime Service

Enlisted in Buntingford. 


He died of wounds. 

Additional Information

His headstone inscription reads 'Everlasting Memories'. His widow is listed as living at 27 Micklethwaite Road, Fulham, London.
