Born on 2 Oct 1886 in Skelbrooke Park, York youngest son of Percy Sandford and Etheline (Radcliffe) Nevile and baptised on 7 Nov 1886 in Skelbrooke. Educated at Haileybury College 1900-04. Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant on 4 May 1907 and promoted Lieutenant on 11 Jan 1911. He was unmarried.

Wartime Service

Promoted to Captain on 8 Mar 1915. Appointed Adjutant to the 10th Battalion on 22 Sep 1914. Entered France on 19 Mar 1915 and was reported missing presumed killed in action at Givenchy.
