Haileybury College Cloister Wall Memorial, Hertford Heath

Pre War

Born on 24 Dec 1878 in Stoke Newington, Middlesex son of Rowland and Helen Annie (Barnett) Stagg of Beckenham, Kent. Educated at Haileybury College 1891-95.

Wartime Service

Initially enlisted as Sergeant PS/1159 Middlesex Regiment. Subsequently obtained a commission as 2nd Lieut 27th Bn. He entered France on 17 Nov 1915 and was killed in action.

Additional Information

Brother of 2nd Lieutenant Harold William Stagg who was killed in action on 28 Mar 1918 in France and is also commemorated on these memorials.
