Born on 20 Jun 1879 in Wilton, Wiltshire youngest son of Rev Canon Dacres and Emma Selina Olivier, of Wilton Rectory, Salisbury and baptised on 25 Jul 1879. Educated at Haileybury College 1893–95. Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant in Nov 1899. Served in the South African War, and Nandi Expedition, 1905-06. He married Beatrice Dorothea Malden in 1910 and they lived in Rothley, Leicester.

Wartime Service

Killed in action on the Aisne.
