Born on 19 Feb 1890 in Forest Gate, London son of D Openshaw. Educated at the United Services College 1906-08. He became a clerk in the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company.

Wartime Service

Enlisted in 1914 in Finsbury, London and entered France on 18 Sep 1914. He was killed in action.

Additional Information

United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
