Born on 12 Dec 1897 and baptised on 17 Feb 1898 in St Ives, Cornwall son of Captain John Square and Elsie Wilhelmina Paige later of "Tresillian", West Avenue, Exeter. Educated at Haileybury College 1912-13.

Wartime Service

Formerly Corporal 201644 East Kent Regiment, he subsequently obtained a commission. Entered France on 7 Mar 1917 and was killed in action.
