Born in 1879 in Sheerness, Kent and baptised on 31 Dec 1879 in St Paul’s, Sheerness son of William and Matilda (Fowtrell) Abel of 4 Rose Vale, Hoddesdon and later living at Rye House Hotel.

Wartime Service

Formerly GS/1449 Private Royal Fusiliers he entered France on 1 Jun 1915. He then obtained a commission to the General List on 28 Mar 1917 and died in Iraq.
