Born on 12 Aug 1896 in and baptised on 17 Sep 1896 in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire son of William and Elizabeth Parker of 11 Duke Street, Hoddesdon.

Wartime Service

Enlisted on 7 Sep 1914 at Hertford initially 16212 8th Bedfordshires, but was discharged as unlikely to become an effective soldier due to sub-acute appendicitis, adenoids and malnutrition and then re-enlisted 39265 Suffolk Regiment and moved to the Essex Regiment and was killed in action.
