Born on 14 Sep 1866 in Cork, Ireland son of Gen. Thomas Addison, C.B., and Ellen (Gillespie) Addison, his wife. Educated at Haileybury College 1880-82. He married Mildred Jeanne de Gilibert of 18 Hans Road, Chelsea, London in Ireland in 1901 and had one child.

Wartime Service

Formerly of the Royal Irish Rifles he was killed on the first day of the Battle of the Somme in a fierce attack on the German Nordwerk at Thiepval.
