Eldest son of Thomas C and Clara Elizabeth (nee PALMER) AEDY of Greenwich, London.
His parents married 23 September 1890 at St Mary the Virgin, Maldon, Essex. Thomas died 5 January 1938 in the Bromley, Kent, district aged 71, and was buried 10 January in Eltham Cemetery, Kent,; Clara died 28 July 1942 in the Dover, Kent, district aged 71, and was buried 4 August, also in Eltham Cemetery.
Thomas was born 15 March 1895 in Greenwich, and baptised 3 February 1898 at Christ Church, East Greenwich. He resided in Stevenage, Herts.
On the 1901 Census, aged 6 he lived in Greenwich, with his parents and three siblings. On the 1911 Census, a messenger aged 16, he still lived in Greenwich, with his parents and seven siblings.
Wartime Service
He enlisted in London; was entitled to the Victory, British War and 1914 Star medals, his qualifying date being 15 August 1914, and was killed in action.
Additional Information
Unfortunately, Thomas’ Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
Thomas is possibly the Cpl Edward AEDY commemorated at St Mary's
