Born in 1881 in Ware, Hertfordshire son of John and Hannah Parnell and was living in the Bourne, Ware in 1891, Musley Hill, Ware in 1901 when he was a maltmaker and in Poplar, London in 1911 still working as a maltmaker.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Ware and was killed in action on the Somme.

Additional Information

Brother of Private Alfred William Parnell who was killed in action on 28 Aug 1918 and of Private Harry Charles Parnell who was killed in action on 31 Jul 1917 and who are also commemorated on these memorials.
