Born on 23 Nov 1895 in London son of Felix Alexander and Nita (Chilton) Target. Educated at Haileybury College 1909-12. He was unmarried.

Wartime Service

Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant in 1914 and promoted Lieutenant in Mar 1915. Entered France on 20 Nov 1915 and was awarded the MC for conspicuous bravery while leading a raid on the enemy trenches. He was killed in action while defending a trench against heavy machine gun fire at the Somme. He was buried where he fell but his body was subsequently not recovered.
