Born in 1891 in Brickendon, Hertford son of Joshua and Catherine Allum and living in 4 Paradise Row, Brickendon in 1901 and in 29 Bull Plain, Hertford in 1911. He was a woodman.


He had enlisted in September 1914

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Hertford formerly 15164, Bedfordshire Regiment died of wounds in No. 3 Casualty Clearing Station.

Additional Information

Of the ten families living in Paradise Row, four lost a total of five sons in WW1 and all are listed on this memorial.
