Born on 3 July 1892 in Walnut Tree House, Widford, Ware, Hertfordshire son of George Strachan Pawle D.L., J.P., and Clotilda Agatha Pawle. Educated at Haileybury College 1906-11 and Magdalen College, Oxford.

Wartime Service

After training at Aldershot, he entered France in Jul 1915 and was killed in action at Hooge.
