Born in 1 July 1892 in Weston, nr Stevenage, Herts. Son of Edward and Elizabeth (Bessie) Amon. Baptised in Weston Parish Church, Herts on 7 August 1892. 1911 Census: living with parents at 144 High Street, Chesterton, Cambs and working as a Farm Labourer.

Wartime Service

Enlisted in Cambridge. Formerly 2577 Cambridgeshire Regt. Killed in action in Belgium.

Additional Information

Older brother Edward Amon (born in Richmond, Surrey) also died. War gratuity of £14.10s granted to mother Bessie.
