Jeffery William Ensor Paul was eldest son of Jeffery William Paul (Farmer) and Jane Power (nee Fowler). He was born in 1895 at Wilnecote, Staffordshire. After attending Aldenham School he was at Pembroke College, Cambridge.

Wartime Service

Jeffrey became a Second lieutenant dated 27 Feb 1915 and joined 1st battalion Kings Royal Rifle Corps in France on 22 Jun 1916. 


He was declared Killed in Action on 27 Jul 1916 when the Battalion were being heavily attacked near Longueval on the Somme battlefield.

Additional Information

His brother James Ensor Paul served as a Lieutenant in the Royal Sussex Regiment.
