Born on 20 Apr 1890 in Aldershot, Farnham, Surrey son of Lt. Col. James Walker and Emily (Allfrey) Andrews of "Bantony" Robertsbridge, Sussex. Educated at Haileybury College 1905-08. He was unmarried.

Wartime Service

He fought in the Battle of the Somme on 1 July 1916 at Ovillers-la-Boiselle, Somme, France. On that first day of the battle he was killed in action while leading an attack as second in command on Ovillers-la-Boiselle.
