Born on 22 Oct 1887 in Pimlico, London son of Albert and Jessie Alice (Podger) Taylor. Educated at Haileybury College 1902-06. Became a Solicitor’s Articled Clerk.

Wartime Service

Initially enlisted Private 2145 Royal Fusiliers. Obtained a commission in the Suffolk Regiment and entered France on 20 May 1916. He was killed in action at Delville Wood.
