Pre War

Born on 30 Jan 1898 in 18 Finsbury Square, London son of William Stair and Annie Florence Perry and baptised on 27 Feb 1898 in St Stephen’s Church, Coleman Street, London. He was living in 51 Cazenove Road, Hackney in 1901 and in Highfields, Hertford Road, Hoddesdon in 1911.

Wartime Service

Formerly 9494 Private Hertfordshire Regiment and obtained a commission in the Coldstream Guards. He died probably in a hospital at Etaples of wounds received at Cambrai.
