Born on 12 Sep 1880 in Bombay, India son of Col. William Pitt C.M.G. and Mary James (Brindley) Pitt of Fairseat House, Fairseat, Sevenoaks, Kent. Educated at Haileybury College 1894-96. He married Lucy Graham Walker in Jul 1911 in Devon and had two children.

Wartime Service

Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant on 4 Jan 1899. Served in South Africa 1900-02. He entered France on 13 May 1915. Died in No 1 Casualty Clearing Station.
