Born in 1894 in Hertford son of George Henry and Ad (Etherington) Platt of 4 Horns Mill Cottages, Hertford. He worked as a labourer in a leather dressing plant.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Hertfordshire and was killed in action.

Additional Information

Brother of Private Sidney Herbert Platt who was killed in France on 23 Aug 1918 and is also commemorated on these memorials. St Joseph’s Church Memorial puts him in the 8th Gloucester Regiment and the date of death as 3 Jul 1916.
