Born in 1881 in Widbury Hill Cottages, Ware, Hertfordshire son of Thomas and Amelia Player. He was living and working as a groom in Eccleston Mews, London in 1901. He married Florence M. in 1909 and they lived in 97 Eaton Mews North, Eaton Square, Chelsea in 1911 and working as a domestic chauffeur.
Wartime Service
Enlisted at London killed in action and first buried in Mikesse, Tanzania and then moved to Morogoro.
