Born on 14 Aug 1890 in Coleshill House, Atherstone, Warwickshire son of Edward Thomas and Blanche (Spencer) Power and baptised in Atherstone on 7 Sep 1890.


Educated at Haileybury College 1904-08 and Edinburgh University where he was reading Medicine.

Wartime Service

He enlisted in the Public Schools Battalion, Royal Fusiliers in Aug 1914 and entered France in Oct 1915. He was wounded at the Somme on 3 Jul 1916 but returned to the firing line and was killed in action at Bazentin-le-Grand.
