Pre War

Born in 1869 in Plymouth, Devon son of Robert Bayly and Emma Sophia (Sewell) Bayly. He married Edith Cicelia Hewett. After a long career in the Territorial force (awarded the Territorial Decoration in 1913).

Wartime Service

He joined the North Devon Hussars at the outbreak of WW1 and initially entered the war at Gallipoli. He died at home of pneumonia.
