Born on 10 Apr 1883 in Lota, Chile son of Rev James Allen and Frances Amelia Dodds. Educated at the Royal Masonic School 1891-99 and then became a clerk in the Guildhall, Westminster. He married Gertrude Rosser in 1908 in Wandsworth and had two daughters. They lived at 72 Beverstone Road, Thornton Heath.
Wartime Service
Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant in May 1915 but died of pleurisy in the Base Great Northern Hospital, Sheffield while in service.
