Born in December 1889 in Wormley, Herts. to Alexander and Mary Rayment. Baptised 6 March 1892 at Hertingfordbury. He was living in the baker’s shop, Hertingfordbury in 1891, 1901 and 1911 when he was a baker’s assistant.

Married Emmie Florence Hummerston (Sept 1890 – 1979) on 29 October 1916 in Bengeo and lived at 1 New Cottages, Birch Green, Hertingfordbury.

Wartime Service

Enlisted in Hertford. Formerly 86502, Middlesex Regiment. Killed in action. Served in France and Flanders.

Widow granted war gratuity of £5.10s. and granted probate on 15 February in London with effects of £127. 11s.
