Pre War

Born on 24 Jan 1891 in Bengeo, Hertford son of Isaac and Jane Rayment, christened on 5 Apr 1891 in Bengeo and living in Balsam’s Lodge, Queen’s Hill, Hertford working as a gardener in 1901 and 1911.


He married Ethel Fortnum (later Mrs. Drummond of 39 Neville Street, Earlestown, Lancs.) on 2 Aug 1913 in Paddington, London. He was then living in The Lodge, Hertford Castle and was the caretaker.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Hertford and died of wounds.
