Son of William Henry and Harriet (nee RICHARDSON) REYNOLDS; husband of Kate (nee LOWE) REYNOLDS of Watford.

His parents married 1868 in the Northampton district.  William died 1922 aged 73; Harriet died 1922 aged 72; both on the Northampton district.

Henry was born 1869 in Northampton, and baptised 2 August 1874 at St Edmund’s, Northampton.  He married 1905 in the Hemel Hempstead, Herts, district; they had two children.  Kate never remarried and died 1962 in the St Alban’s, Herts, district aged 89.

On the 1871 Census, aged 2 he lived in Northampton, with his parents and one sibling.  On the 1881 Census, a half-time shoe clicker aged 12, he still lived in Northampton, with his parents and five siblings.  On the 1891 Census, a boot maker aged 22 he still lived in Northampton, with his parents and eight siblings.  On the 1901 Census, he is proving elusive.  On the 1911 Census, a butcher aged 38 he lived in Hemel Hempstead, with his wife and two children.

Wartime Service

He enlisted in Watford; was entitled to the Victory, British War and 1914-15 Star medals, his qualifying date being 16 December 1915, and was presumed killed in action.  

Additional Information

Unfortunately, Henry’s Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
