Haileybury College Cloister Wall Memorial, Hertford Heath

Pre War

Born on 6 Apr 1888 in The Causeway, Horsham son of Edward Ingram Bostock, J.P. and Sarah Southey (Baker) Bostock. Educated at Haileybury College 1901. Went to Canada and joined the Royal North West Mounted Police but returned to Britain on the outbreak of war. He was unmarried.

Wartime Service

Obtained a commission in 1916 and served with the Expeditionary Force in France. He was killed by a shell in action near Arras.

Additional Information

Brother of 2nd Lieutenant Edward Lyon Bostock who was killed on 5 Apr 1917 and is also commemorated on these memorials and of Captain Archibald Thomas Bostock who was killed on 30 Sep 1915.
