Born in 1893 son of the late Fredric Timothy and Bergetta Anastatia Donovan and living in 9 West Street, Hertford in 1901 and in 1911 and later in High Street, Hertford.

Wartime Service

Enlisted 2268 Corporal Hertfordshire Regiment and entered France on 6 Nov 1914. He obtained a commission in 2nd Royal Dublin Fusiliers on 27 Nov 1915 and was killed in action on the Somme during the German Spring offensive.
