Born in 1884 in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire son of Charles and Frances Bowler of Bledlow, Buckinghamshire. He married Catherine Sarah Richardson in 1911 at Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and they lived at The Bungalow, Station Approach, Chorleywood, Hertfordshire.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Oxford and was killed in action.
