Born on 9 May 1878 in Brockton House, Sutton Maddock, Shropshire son of John Townshend Brooke and of Lady Wilhelmina (Legge) Brooke. He was educated at Haileybury College 1892-96 and Institute of Civil Engineers 1898-04. Civil Engineer in Cairo, Egypt. He married Ida May Mullings, of "Elmleigh", Queen's Road, Cheltenham in 1910.

Wartime Service

Entered France on 1 Mar 1915 and was killed in action near Ypres.
