Born on 25 Aug 1894 son of Robert Montagu and Philippa G. Brown, of The Old Parsonage, Edale, Derbyshire. Educated at Haileybury College 1909-12.

Wartime Service

Entered France on 14 Nov 1914. He was killed in action.

Brother of Lieutenant Edward Frederic Montagu Brown who was killed in action on 8 Jan 1918 near Ypres, Belgium and is also commemorated on these memorials.
