He was the cousin of Albert Dowler, the grandfather of  Mr Chris Dowler who still lives at Green End, Sandon.

Wartime Service

Part of the 33rd. Division. 98th. Brigade. M'sex Regiment.


They were involved in action between October 12th and 18th in pursuit to the River Selle west of Cambrai.


He lies in the Beaulencourt British Cemetery , Ligny-Thilloy.
