Biography

He was the only son of Robert Bryson of Antigua by his wife Isobel Eliott Bryson, eldest daughter of W.H. Leared of Cahirceaven, County Kerry. He was born on May 12th 1899 in Antigua and was educated at Kenley School, Surrey and Andenham school, where he was active in Football (back) and Athletics. He was Senior Cadet in OTC.

Gazetted as 2nd Lieut. in June 1918 he served with the Expeditionary Force from Aug 1918. He was Killd in Action near Cambrai and buried in British Cemetery east of Cambrai.

A Brother Officer wrote 'He and I worked in the Line together for quite a while and he was the best of boys, always happy and brave, and I shall miss him very much'
