Pre War

Born on 11 Apr 1895 and baptised on 21 May 1895 in Landower, India son of Lt. Col. Arthur Hyde and Marguerite Georgina Lucy Mary (Turner) Burlton. Educated at the Imperial Service College, Windsor. He emigrated to Canada in Jul 1913. Enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force on 23 Sep 1914 in Valcartier, Quebec.

Wartime Service

Returned to England and obtained a commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the A.S.C. He entered France in Jun 1915. He was then attached to the Royal Flying Corps and was accidentally killed while flying at Catterick.

Additional Information

Imperial Service College was formed in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
