Richard was the eldest son of Richard William Burrell, and was born at St. Luke's E.C. on the 13th of June 1893. He was educated at Chequer Street School, E.C.


He married May Knowles, King's Road, Fairfield Road, Edmonton, on the 16th of March 1915 in Watford.


Richard enlisted in June 1911.

Wartime Service

He was killed in action at the Battle of Loos on the 25th of September 1915.
