Pre War

Born on 6 May 1888 in Fulham, London son of Edward John Broad and Alice Maud Calf later of 53 Chelverton Road, Putney, London. Educated at the Royal Masonic School 1898-1904 he then became a banker’s clerk.

Wartime Service

Enlisted in May 1916 in Putney, London formerly B/23674, 26th Bn., Royal Fusiliers and entered France in Nov 1916. He was reported missing in May 1917 and was presumed killed in action.
