Born in 1887 in Ware, Herfordshire son of John and Charlotte Louisa Campkin later of 19, Kibes Lane, Ware and was living in 8 Blue Coat Yard, Ware in 1891.

He became a labourer and was living with his parents in the Sluice House, King’s Weir, Wormley in 1911.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Hertford formerly 5871, Hertfordshire Regiment and was killed in action in Belgium.

Additional Information

Brother of Private Albert Joseph Campkin who died of wounds on 18 Apr 1918 and of Private Edward Reuben Campkin who was killed in action on 23 Aug 1918.
