Born on 19 Dec 1884 at Poona, India son of the Rev. Alfred Granger and Emily Annette Cane, later of Great Paxton Vicarage, St. Neots, Huntingdonshire. Educated at Haileybury College 1898-1903. Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant on 3 Dec 1904 from the Militia. Promoted to Lieutenant on 11 Nov 1906 and Captain on 14 May 1913. Served in South Africa as Adjutant of the Battalion from 1910 to 1913.

Wartime Service

He was at home on leave at the outbreak of war, so he applied to join the 1st Bn. and entered France in Sep 1914. He was killed in action while in charge of two companies near Ploegsteert.
