John Wyatt Case was born in 1897 in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, the son of Henry William and Ellen Case.


On the 1901 Census the family were living at Gorleston, Norfolk, where his father was an Iron Merchant. By the 1911 Census he was a scholar at Bishop's Stortford College, Hadham Road, Bishop's Stortford.

Wartime Service

He served with the 8th Battalion, Norfolk Regiment and was killed during the attack on the Regina Trench, Somme, France.

Additional Information

His father Henry William received his pay owing of £73 9s 3d and was granted probate at Ipswich on 24 April with effects totalling £934 2s 10d.
