Pre War

Born in 1895 in Sutton, Surrey and baptised on 8 Sep 1895 in Kenilworth son of Charles and Martha Emily (Sabin) Cass of 7 Eastcourt Road, Worthing. His father was a native of Ware and the family were living in Great Amwell in 1871 but moved to Surrey when his first wife died. He was a chauffeur mechanic.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Worthing on 14 Sep 1914, entered France on 4 Mar 1916. He returned to UK suffering from impetigo on 15 Nov 1916 and returned to the front on 12 Feb 1917. He was killed in action near Ypres.
